Here’s a decent way to prospect…

This morning I was walking out of the grocery store after dropping off the kids at school, and a nicely dressed man approaches me.

Good morning, kind a chilly today, huh?

It was like 17 degrees Fahrenheit earlier today. And before I could say anything, he goes…

You know with all the issues going on in the world today, there’s another way to look at them. And here’s a brochure that explains it all… (as he hands me the brochure)

Now I gotta say…

First of all, this takes some commitment and dedication.

But his approach was totally NON-threatening.

He didn’t ask me questions to try and back me into a corner, forcing me to comply. (as many salespeople and network marketers do)

He also didn’t leave me a choice but to take the brochure, because he was polite, so I reciprocated by being polite… and he handed it to me.

It’s a psychological thing…

When someone hands you something, you’re very likely to take it.

Picked that up in my days of selling insurance and investments.

When it came time to sign on the dotted line, I would physically hand them the pen (not leave it on the table)… it was subtle and it worked.

Anyhoo…

One other thing I noticed as I’m backing up… he got back into his SUV, which was running, and just sat there.

And you know, he probably doesn’t get much rejection with this approach, and if hits up enough people, someone might actually read the brochure and take action on what’s there.

This ain’t half bad, and there are much more brutal ways to prospect than this.

But after I drove away, I thought to myself…

Maybe I should have asked him if he wants to learn how he can pretty easily automate all this with attraction marketing. 😉

This way he can sit at home or do something else while this system prospects for him… instead of sitting in a cold parking lot on a Friday morning.
